Vivid On-Site FAQs

How Does Vivid On-Site Work?

Our eye care team drives directly to you, saving you and/or your employees time.

We manage all the logistics of appointment scheduling. Appointments can be scheduled throughout your workday.

A full comprehensive eye exam will be performed and, if needed, glasses or contact lenses will be delivered directly to you. We will bill most insurance companies directly.

What Happens During A Vivid On-Site Eye Exam?

Comprehensive eye exams with Vivid On-Site begin with a complete patient history to look for risk factors that could make you more prone to certain diseases or vision issues. We will also assess your visual acuity (how clearly objects are seen at different distances), peripheral vision, depth perception, eye tracking and other functional issues.

Our team will also check the pressure inside the eye (the intraocular pressure or IOP) to look for signs of glaucoma. Dilating eye drops may be placed in each eye to widen the pupil so the retina, optic nerve, and other internal structures can be evaluated. If vision problems are identified, other evaluations can determine the prescription lens needed for each eye.

Is Vivid On-Site Covered By Private Insurance?

Yes. If you're not covered through OHIP, and you're between the ages of 20 and 64, without any ocular-related diseases (e.g diabetes, cataract, glaucoma, etc.), you may be covered through private insurance coverage.

Vivid On-Sight will bill directly to most insurance companies for eye exams, glasses, and/or contacts, including Blue Cross/Blue Shiled, Canada Life and Cowan Insurance Group.

Can Diabetics Get A Vivid On -Site Eye Exam?

Vivid On-Sight - Diabetic Eye Exam

If you are over 60 years old, your optometrist may advise that you come in for exams even more frequently. Risk factors, such as hypertension, diabetes, and other systemic disorders, are a reason to schedule complete eye examinations at least once a year, even before age 40. These conditions may impact your ocular health, and early detection of a problem will go far toward preventing future vision loss. Get an eye exam annually for optimal vision.

Diabetics are susceptible to developing cataracts (a clouding of the eye’s lens) earlier in life. Optometrist in Brampton
