Dr. Sandhar was born in Toronto and grew up mainly in Mississauga. Dr. Sandhar attended Aston University, School of Optometry in Birmingham, England, where he graduated with honours in 2009. During his hospital rounds in 2009-2010, Dr. Sandhar developed a keen interest in glaucoma, diabetic and macular degeneration diagnosis and treatment. He spent the next 5 years practicing as a leading resident optometrist in the beautiful town of Poole, Dorset where he was linked to various primary UK eye-care providers. Dr. Sandhar returned home to Toronto in 2015, to complete his optometry bridging qualifications at the University of Waterloo and obtained his Ontario licensure. Dr. Sandhar is fully licensed and certified in the use of diagnostic and therapeutic agents to detect, treat, and manage various ocular conditions. He makes it his mission to ensure that every patient experiences a thorough and complete eye exam. When Dr. Sandhar is not providing patient care, he loves spending time with his wife and three sons.
He also enjoys shopping, traveling and playing golf.

The joy of seeing patient’s faces light up when they are able to read after years of being told they will never read again is priceless!”
